How it works
As a member, connecting your Slack personal connector will allow you to search for and use your personal Slack data throughout your own GoSearch experience.
Data objects supported
What appears in search results:
- Public channels messages (any time ranges)
- Private channels
- Direct messages
What is available with GoAI:
- Public channels messages (last 30 days)
- Public channels messages (any time ranges)
- Private channels
- Direct messages

Setting up the connector
Note: When connecting the Slack connector, you may be prompted to install the Slack integration.
- From your GoSearch dashboard, navigate to My connectors in the left-hand menu.
- Scroll down to Available connectors, and find the Slack personal connector.
- Click Connect, review the necessary permissions, and click Connect.
- Click Allow to grant GoSearch access to your Slack workspace.
- Lastly, once connected, run a test query in GoSearch to ensure that the data in the Slack personal connector is available for you.
Access permissions
The data from the Slack personal connector is only visible to the user that connects it. All data from the Slack personal connector is fetched in real-time and it is never indexed, stored, or used for LLM training. Learn more about our Zero Data Retention Policy.
Slack Workspace Connector
If your admin wishes to connect your workspace to the Slack workspace connector, please ask them to visit the Slack workspace connector.
