How Personal Connectors Work
Personal connectors let users securely connect their individual accounts like Slack, Gmail, or Google Drive to GoSearch.
- Admins must first enable personal connectors at the workspace level.
- Once enabled, each user activates their own personal connectors.
- These connectors pull in user-specific data—not shared content.
Unlike workspace connectors, which are set up by admins, personal connectors are activated individually and only show results from your own accounts.
Why Activating Personal Connectors Matter
Personal connectors give you access to real-time data that’s unique to you.
- Even if a workspace connector is enabled, you should still activate the personal version.
- Each connector type pulls from different data sources, which impacts GoSearch results, GoAI responses, and Agent outputs.
- Enabling both versions ensures you get the most complete and accurate results.
Personal connector data is never indexed or shared. It’s retrieved in real time, only for you, and based entirely on your query.

How to Start with Personal Connectors
- From your GoSearch dashboard, navigate to My connectors in the left-hand menu.
- Locate the app you want to connect (such as Gmail, Slack, Teams, or more) and click Connect.
- Here you’ll see what the search result matches on and what data GoAI fetches in real-time.
- Click Connect again and follow any further authentication steps that are prompted such as signing into your account or allowing GoSearch permission to fetch your data.
- To disconnect a personal connector at any time, under Connected apps click the ellipses button to the right of the icons and click Disconnect.
