The GoSearch Chrome Extension is a powerful tool that lets you search across all your company apps and documents without ever leaving your current web page. With the extension, you can instantly summon the GoSearch search bar and access all your connected resources directly from your browser, making information retrieval faster and more convenient.
How to install the Chrome Extension
- From your GoSearch dashboard, navigate to Integrations in the left-hand menu.
- To the right of GoSearch Extension, click View.
- A new tab will open. Click Add to Chrome.
- Read permissions and click Add extension.
- Then in the toolbar of your browser, click the puzzle piece and find the GoSearch icon.
- Click the pin icon to pin the GoSearch extension to your browser and start searching with ease!
Searching with the Chrome Extension
Once the GoSearch Chrome Extension is installed, you can search in several convenient ways:
New Tab Search
- Open a new tab to access the GoSearch dashboard.
- This includes a search bar, recently used resources, and other tools—mirroring your main GoSearch workspace.
Sidebar (Copilot) Experience
- On any webpage, click the GoSearch icon on the right side or the GoSearch extension to open the sidebar.
- This sidebar acts as your AI copilot, letting you:
- Ask questions
- View past GoAI conversations
- Use agents—all without leaving the page
- You can also open the sidebar from your browser’s extension menu by clicking the GoSearch icon there, even if the floating icon is hidden.
Address Bar Shortcut
- In your browser’s address bar, type gs/ and press Tab or type gs and press the spacebar.
- You’ll now be searching directly in GoSearch—just type your query, hit Enter, and jump straight to the results.
These features let you bring enterprise search directly into your daily web browsing, streamlining access to information and integrating seamlessly with your existing workflows.
