The GoSearch SharePoint workspace connector allows your team to search across your company’s SharePoint resources directly within GoSearch, surfacing relevant content, documents, or conversations to improve visibility and efficiency.

Setting up the connector
Note: Currently, the Sharepoint API doesn’t check the access level for each resource that it indexes.
Therefore, if you connect a site and assign it to a group, Sharepoint will allow everyone in that group to see all the site content, even if the content of that folder has limited access within Sharepoint.
- From your GoSearch dashboard, navigate to Manage connectors in the left-hand menu.
- Click the tab that says Workspace connectors, click Add connector, and find the SharePoint workspace connector.
- Click Connect, review the necessary permissions, and click Connect to Sharepoint.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account, if prompted.
- Optionally, name your connection.
- Remember, you can create multiple connections for the same application to be used with different User Groups if desired, so be descriptive when naming your connection.
- Then select whether to include all historical data or start from a specific date.
- Specify which sites GoSearch indexes. If no sites are provided, GoSearch will index all available sites.
- Click Next: Select groups and select the user groups that you want to have access to that Connection and click Done
- Lastly, once synced, run a test query in GoSearch to ensure that the data in the SharePoint workspace connector is available for you and your team members.
