To use GoSearch effectively throughout your organization, you should set up integrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Are Integrations?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In GoSearch, integrations let you connect external tools and allow you to use GoSearch throughout your workflow, bringing the power of GoSearch wherever you work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Slack\/Teams integration, you can use enterprise search directly within these communication tools. GoSearch acts as your own workplace assistant, answering any question for you while you\u2019re on Slack, so you don\u2019t have to context-switch or bother your colleagues for answers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All you have to do is tag the GoSearch app in your desired channel and include your search query. From there, you can easily find and share resources directly in your messages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to set up Integrations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Typically, as part of the onboarding process, admins will set up integrations for their entire workspace<\/a>, so as a member, you won\u2019t have to do anything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, if your admin hasn\u2019t activated integrations for your entire workspace, but has made them available to everyone, you can set them up for yourself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slack Integration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Note: If Slack workspace app permissions are open, any member can add the GoSearch integration on their own. If application approval is required, a Slack admin must first approve the app for their workspace. After approval, individuals can activate GoSearch for their own use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. From your GoSearch dashboard, navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select Integrations. Here, you can view existing integrations and connect new ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. To the right of the Slack Integration, click Connect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. A new tab will open. Enter your Slack Workspace URL and click continue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Sign in to Slack. You may have to sign in using SSO depending on your workspace specifications for Slack and GoLinks <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Then read the permission page and allow GoLinks to access your Slack workspace by clicking Allow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Then, you will be redirected to the GoSearch dashboard. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Open Slack and view the welcome message to see how you can activate GoSearch within Slack.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Make sure to add the GoSearch bot by entering \u201c\/invite @GoSearch\u201d to your public and private channels so users can interact with GoSearch without leaving Slack.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Microsoft Teams Integration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Note: If the organization’s Teams settings allow, any member can add the GoSearch integration without admin involvement. If there are restrictions, the admin must approve GoSearch before members can add it. After approval, individuals can activate GoSearch for their own use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. From the Teams application, click Apps on the left-hand menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Search for GoSearch and click Add.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Read the Overview and click Add. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. From there, click Open <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Select the channel they want to receive notifications in and click on \u201cGo\u201d.\n

      1. You can only select one channel in the above pop-up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. You\u2019ll be brought to the GoSearch Teams chatbot and should see the welcome message in the channel selected.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
